From 9 to 13 April 2026, Grau de Castellón will vibrate to the rhythm of historic sails

After the resounding success of its 8th edition in 2025, which attracted nearly 500,000 visitors, Escala a Castelló Prepare it 9th edition for 2026. This international festival, which has become a must for sea and history lovers, will once again transform the Port of Azahar in a real living open-air museum.
The festival will combine finding, gastronomy and animations :
Guided tours ships, with lectures on marine language and ancient navigation techniques.
Gastronomic zone highlighting local products: rice from La Plana, fresh fish from Grau and Carajillo revisited.
Evening shows : traditional music concerts, historical reenactments and fireworks to end each day.

An economic and cultural driver for the region

Beyond the economy, the festival reinforceslocal identity :
• School workshops will initiate
5,000 students to jobs in the sea.
• A permanent exhibition on the port history of Castellón will be inaugurated in 2026.
• Collaborations with universities to digitize the stories of ancient mariners.
