Description
The Vera Cruz was designed to be the most exact replica possible of the ships of the time of Infante Henri the Navigator. Visually, it is distinguished by its two large Latin sails decorated with the Cross of the Order of Christ, the historical symbol of Portuguese expeditions. Although its shell and appearance respect traditional wooden construction methods, the interior is modernized to meet current safety standards. It has contemporary navigation equipment, kitchens and sanitary facilities to allow deep-sea trips in relative comfort, while maintaining the authentic experience of old-fashioned sailing. He is a regular at large gatherings of old vessels such as the Armada de Rouen or the Fêtes Maritimes de Brest.
